This is the Capital Region First Ring Expressway.
It was originally named the 'Seoul Outer Ring Expressway,'
but the name was changed due to the continuous requests of Lee Jae-myung, who was the Governor of Gyeonggi Province at the time.
Most sections were constructed in the late 1980s and 1990s,
and it is an expensive road with a construction cost of approximately 10 billion KRW per kilometer.
This record has not been broken to this day.
Rather than the actual construction costs, a large portion of the expense went toward land acquisition costs, as the route passes through areas with high land prices on the outskirts of Seoul.
