How successful was the girl group Secret?

I recently checked out We拉克 (Weracle), which has been in the news lately due to the social service agent controversy,
and I saw they have nearly 1 million subscribers.
But since the creator is from Secret, Jeon Hyo-seong is famous, and they even released solo albums,
I thought they were quite successful, like S-class idols.
I wonder if there was really a need to turn to YouTube.
Looking at the YouTube comments, I see many harsh comments about marriage life and such,
and there are even all sorts of videos from shamans talking about bad compatibility and whatnot.
But if they were at the level of Secret, wouldn't they be able to live comfortably without needing to do YouTube or give lectures?
Or were they truly "survival-mode" idols? I thought they were quite famous.
