From a market economics perspective, Roh Moo-hyun is right-wing and Park Chung-hee is closer to left-wing

No translation in your language yet — showing the English version

If viewed strictly from a market economics perspective, Roh Moo-hyun is actually closer to the right wing,
while Park Chung-hee has aspects closer to the left.
Roh Moo-hyun was someone who personally pushed for the KORUS FTA, emphasizing market opening and free trade competition.
In fact, the Participatory Government pursued the KORUS FTA in a direction that increased accessibility to the US market.
Conversely, starting from the Five-Year Economic Development Plan, Park Chung-hee used a state-led economic growth model
where the government directly selected industries and concentrated funds and investments into specific sectors.
Of course, this does not mean that Park Chung-hee was a socialist leftist and Roh Moo-hyun was a conservative right-winger.
It simply means that if you look solely at the economic criterion of state intervention versus market autonomy,
there are quite a few aspects that run contrary to the left-right images we commonly associate with these two men.
