I work for a local public enterprise in Busan... but I'm starting to crave a central public enterprise
When I was preparing for jobs, I wanted so badly to join a Busan local public enterprise so I could live in Busan.
But now that I'm actually here, maybe it's because the workload is light...
I find myself wanting to go to a central public enterprise that pays more.
Places like KEPCO or KHNP..
Local public enterprises somehow feel like small-to-medium enterprises, whereas there's this romanticized idea that it looks cool if you say you work at KEPCO.
The salary difference must be huge, too..
I've considered private companies, but I don't think I could transition to a private firm after working at a public enterprise..
Maybe it's because the job is easy, but I've been having a lot of intrusive thoughts lately..
When my girlfriend's friends' boyfriends say they got jobs at places like Samsung or Hynix,
I feel like I shouldn't just be satisfied with where I am... I wonder if I should at least prepare for a high-paying public enterprise..
If I were to get into KEPCO, would I be able to secure a permanent spot in the Gyeongsang region? Specifically for electrical or mechanical roles.
