Does the law of gravity apply to coins too... It just keeps going down

I was thinking about going into BTC or ETH, but they just slumped.
Altcoins shot up 1.2x recently, but since no one followed suit, they've switched into "exit liquidity" mode..
It looks like the government is determined to impose taxes starting next year..
I don't even know if the domestic crypto market will stay open after the US midterm elections in November..
