Back in college, the 1,500 won meal set gave Chinese-style kimchi, while the 2,500 won set gave homemade kimchi

The 1,500 won option was a regular meal set - they only gave you the standard portion.
The 2,500 won option was a special meal set - a large bowl of a meat dish...
Looking back, what was strange was
that the section where they served the kimchi was completely different...
When eating the 1,500 won meal set, they would just scoop out some kimchi..
But for those eating the 2,500 won meal set, they would serve kimchi that had already been prepared in a large container.
After attending my first semester of college, I saw the ladies making kimchi in the back of the restaurant once lunchtime was over...
When I asked, they said this kimchi was what went out with the 2,500 won meal set...
Since it was a very long time ago..
The restaurant ladies probably already knew back then that Chinese kimchi wasn't worth eating...
