When you're a driver, having an officer who knows the best food spots is the best, right?

When I went on off-base driving assignments,
I didn't care about anything else;
if the officer riding shotgun was a foodie or just a big guy who knew where to eat,
that day's driving was just amazing.
Since I went on off-base assignments quite often,
I drove many officers around,
but my favorite was this Captain who was a total foodie—no matter which area we went to, we never had to worry about meals or desserts, we just went wherever he said and everything was delicious lol.
Because of that, getting assigned to a foodie officer was actually popular among the drivers, and I remember even handing out Parliament cigarettes just to win favor with the dispatch clerk.
