There is no hope for the national football team

No translation in your language yet — showing the English version

‌Recently, I either bet against the national football team or only bet on the over, and I only watch the highlights. I didn't even bet or watch the highlights for yesterday's match.
I think highly of Hwang In-beom and like him, but looking at the interviews, it seems there is no solution for the time being.
In ball sports, how many disciplines are there where a single player can hard-carry the team to victory? Furthermore, in modern football, no matter how good an individual's ability is, it's not easy because space doesn't open up.
Additionally, while our players use both feet well, except for a few overseas-based players, their fundamentals are disastrous and their football is formulaic. Since childhood, they have been playing football not to win, but not to lose; how could they change once they become adults?
To get results, the basic foundation must be something like Hiddink's method: intensive training camps to maximize stamina + defensive organization. But "defensive organization" is easier said than done; it means sacrificing oneself and running one step more. Naturally, teamwork must be good, but how can that happen when the players don't get along?
I think the national football team has changed a lot. I am an old-timer myself and I loathe the old-fashioned "just do what you're told" mindset, but I think young people these days tend to want things too easily, which is a difficult problem.
In the past, even if I personally disliked someone, if we were on the same team or the same project and had a task to solve collectively, we would at least try to cooperate to complete it. And then we wouldn't see each other after it was finished.
But the recent trend is changing, and I used to feel this a lot when collaborating with women, but I was somewhat surprised to feel this from young men as well.
The national team seems to be exactly this case, so there's no hope, right? The mindset of Lee Kang-in's generation needs to change, but there's no way it will.
It is highly likely that the national football team will continue to have this kind of "sand-like" (fragmented) teamwork. People can just stop caring and stop watching, but since Korea is a nation of extreme nationalism (Gukppong), it's hard.
