A steady 150M KRW salary VS. Challenging an executive role at a small company
I am in my early 40s, currently working at a large foreign corporation.
The job security isn't the highest, but my annual salary increases by at least 4-5% every year.
I am currently a team member, not in a team leader role. My team leader is an executive, and everyone reports directly to them.
Should I avoid complacency and take an executive position if offered, even if it involves significant risk?
Due to the nature of this industry, an executive role starts at around 170M KRW, and I expect the level of responsibility and team management stress to be high. On the other hand, having the title of a former industry executive would be a merit.
My ultimate goal is to work until retirement and then start my own business after age 60 by leveraging my career.
