Why it is incredibly difficult to sell 30,000 seats for a girl group paid concert in Korea

‌
If they are popular,
everyone thinks they can easily hold concerts for 10,000 or even 30,000 people,
but the reality is that aside from the "god-tier" Blackpink & TWICE,
even groups evaluated by Bullpen as "top-tier" (?) like IVE, aespa, and LE SSERAFIM, usually hover around the 10,000 mark (+/-).
If you think about it realistically,
it's not free; you have to drop 150,000 to 200,000 KRW,
spend time trying to book tickets, show up, and watch from an uncomfortable seat—
it's a much tougher set of conditions than people realize.
Time and money must be prioritized for a girl group concert
above everything else,
but for people living their daily lives, this isn't as easy as it sounds.
It goes without saying that women's hard-core loyalty is even higher,
and this gap is even more noticeable in concerts and merchandise.
Rather than the "basement" baseball fans who constantly fight and argue in online communities,
the high loyalty of female fans who attend in person and buy merch is a proven fact that generates real revenue...
Whether it's because they are close friends
or acquaintances, they spend 150,000–200,000 KRW as a "congratulatory gift" and make sure to attend.
They go because they are closely connected as genuine acquaintances....
Sometimes, when I see people who gain a bit of popularity and think it's that easy,
I think: if it were that easy to make money and succeed, they would just enjoy the easy life domestically.
The reason why agencies are so desperate to break into Japan and overseas is very clear.
