Whether my new team leader is a good person or not

I'm feeling conflicted.
It might be because he doesn't know my specific tasks well.
At first, he was nitpicking me way more than necessary from a professional standpoint,
but he handles all the external pressure coming our way.
A few days ago, when I got into an argument with a client, he called me aside
to teach me how to handle it, so it's hard to tell.
I feel like he's treating me like a child, and at my age, it's frustrating...
He has his own set way of doing things, and ugh... it's stifling.
On second thought, his character seems good,
but he's the type who forces you to conform to his style
if you don't meet his personal standards.
I've never encountered this type of boss before.
I wonder if he thinks I'm inexperienced,
but it's hard to even put it into words.
