National celebration vs. Lack of interest
To be blunt, even BTS completed their service; if someone asks why others aren't going, they won't be able to provide an answer.
Furthermore, 1.5 years of one's youth is precious to everyone. Simply being able to maintain one's career as a Managing Director is already a massive benefit.
People are losing interest in the Olympics these days; as for the Asian Games? Don't even get me started.
