What do you think about a 5 AM alarm in a hospital room?

I moved from a multi-bed ward to a two-bed room because of the stress of being in a shared room.
But the person next to me set an alarm for 5 AM because his wife asked him to wake her up,
and now he's waking her up with a morning call at 5 AM.
Since they usually use their phones without earphones, I spoke to the nurse, but she didn't listen to a word I said.
They seem to be civil servants, and I just don't understand why a person of that age is acting like that.
