People who love fashion usually stop wearing their clothes after 1–2 years

I might be the unusual one, but I have so many clothes that are over 5 years old.
However, people who buy several items of clothing every month say they don't have anything older than 2 years (except for a few outerwear pieces).
They also say they wear things like short-sleeved T-shirts for just one season and then never again.
They claim that once you've worn something for a certain period, it just doesn't fit or look right anymore.
Since I only buy a few items a year, I've always worn things even when they've become stretched out..
It seems the lifespan of clothing varies greatly from person to person.
