They wouldn't even open the packaging when bringing clothes from the warehouse to the store

I was looking at some clothes in a clothing store and asked if they had my size..
They said they did and went to the warehouse to get it right away.
They brought the item, but since it came straight from the logistics center, they wouldn't even open the packaging..
They kept saying it's a product that has never been opened before... that it's a "precious" item straight from logistics..
That clerk seemed really hesitant/burdened to open a brand-new item, didn't they??
