Gold medals enhancing national prestige? Is that appropriate for this era?

It is simply an individual's honor or their own career.
What more can we teach the world about Korea in the 21st century
to raise our national prestige and "enhance" it?
At least with the Olympics, since it is a global stage,
I recognize that if someone breaks through those gates to win gold,
it required immense effort and time.
But why should the Asian Games be granted the same exemptions all at once?
I believe they should either be abolished
or exemptions should only apply to those with two cumulative gold medals.
I don't know how the pension is calculated, but if it is calculated the same way as the Olympics,
there should be a distinction or it should be abolished.
