Is it even possible for one person to handle 200 missing person reports in 17 months in Jeju?

No translation in your language yet — showing the English version

I am reading the news article currently making waves regarding the false closure of missing person cases in Jeju.
"Police are investigating how many of the nearly 200 missing person reports closed by Officer A since last March were falsely closed."
This is what it says.
If those aren't all the cases that were closed, it means the actual number of missing person reports coming in must be much higher than 200.
If there are that many reports, is there even enough capacity to pay attention to each individual report? It seems impossible.
