Ugh, skin diseases like mites or ringworm

How do you actually get rid of skin diseases like scabies mites or fungal infections?
It's driving me crazy because I haven't been able to clear it up even after more than a month of washing clothes and applying/taking medication.
Should I just gather all my clothes and bedding and throw them away,
or should I take them to a laundromat for steam cleaning?
