I work at an SME, but our work tools are on par with large corporations
I haven't worked at a large corporation, so I'm not sure, but I've heard there are quite a few companies that lack systems and are somewhat disorganized.
My company is a small-to-medium manufacturing firm located in the provinces, but in terms of work tools, I think it's the best among the SMEs I've worked for.
Having many work tools doesn't necessarily mean it's good.
Basically, we use our work tools like this:
1. ERP - It seems like every company has this as a standard.
2. Business Messenger - Work-related chats keep coming in regardless of holidays or after work hours.
3. Project Boards - There are boards for each project, and we have to meticulously upload work-related content and materials.
4. Web Cloud for Document/Data Sharing - A cloud service that allows direct document editing on the web.
5. Work Log Web - A web service for uploading email work logs; it has every feature imaginable.
6. KakaoTalk - A group chat for all employees; it seems like this is also a standard.
7. Git Server - A source management server; I think there were some companies that didn't even have this.
Besides these, we introduced a few others that people don't use much, but we use all the ones listed above frequently.
The CEO is very serious about these things, and lately, he's been obsessed with AI and is developing an integrated in-house groupware solution.
Come to think of it, even when these tools are introduced, it's hard to get employees to actually use them, so I think it's impressive that everyone uses them so well.
