Nintendo has no plans to abandon physical media

Bill van Zyll, Vice President and General Manager of Nintendo Latin America, discussed digital and physical release methods during a conversation with Coelho. Van Zyll spoke candidly on the matter, asserting that while Nintendo acknowledges gamers' preference for physical package releases, they have absolutely no plans to discontinue them.
"Historically, we haven't stuck to a specific format. We take consumer preferences very seriously. Also, there are platforms that have only just been released. It has been just over a year since the Nintendo Switch 2 was released, and this device supports both digital and physical games.
Therefore, we have no plans to abandon physical media. We know very well how much fans love physical packages."
