Measures will be taken if Lee Jae-myung does not apologize to Ukraine

President Lee Jae-myung expressed
"serious regret" toward Ukraine,
stating, "If they continue to refuse
to admit the facts and issue a public apology,
we will take further measures."
On X (formerly Twitter) today,
President Lee wrote,
"Regarding the repatriation of North Korean prisoners,
the Ukrainian side requested confidentiality, and an agreement was reached,
but they unilaterally made it public. When the President of the Republic of Korea
expressed regret with the utmost courtesy,
they denied the existence of the agreement,
making the head of state of the Republic of Korea a liar.
When I demanded they admit to the agreement and apologize,
they instead spoke of imminent military conflict between North and South,
effectively praying for war on the Korean Peninsula.
I express my serious regret toward Ukraine."
President Lee stated, "This is a matter regarding
the dignity of the citizens and the nation of the Republic of Korea,
and it cannot be overlooked."
