What the 3 players and Son Heung-min are getting wrong
The "default religion" of Koreans is effectively Confucianism.
In reality, everyone follows Confucianism.
Politeness, a slightly naive and immature junior being guided by a deep and reliable senior, hierarchy, tight-knit teamwork that looks solid on the outside regardless of how they feel inside, and "Jeong" (emotional attachment).
The public has a massive fantasy about these old-fashioned values. They love that kind of behavior more than anything else in the world.
I'm telling you, the default religion is effectively Confucianism.
Those four haven't even clearly explained the reason for their discord,
and the three haven't retired either,
(even if they actually never reconciled and are still fighting)
and they aren't even pretending to reconcile to the media; they are just holding their ground.
That goes directly against the Confucian spirit.
It looks obvious that their personalities just don't click, and it doesn't seem like one side committed a serious crime or anything.
If they just "pretended to reconcile" and put on an act for the media, it would end quietly.
The fact that they absolutely cannot do that suggests the emotions involved are quite deep.
Then, netizens start looking for a culprit. They won't tolerate this state of affairs; we are a people who cannot stand that. They will find a culprit, even if they have to manufacture one.
I heard they've already turned Lee Kang-in's Instagram comment section into a hornet's nest?
Those Red Guards will just keep creating hornet's nests 2, 3, and so on, until the culprit of that discord is found.
If they were holding their ground in anticipation of that, then they have succeeded.
Because from now on, there will only be more hornet's nests to come.
