From a man's perspective, isn't military service just lost time?

‌It used to be 2 years and 2 months
Before that, was it 3 years?
The service period has decreased a lot lately, but
Photos of people laughing while wearing their discharge caps
The color of the medal doesn't matter; being exempt from military service is best
Honestly, that's a valid point
It's also a major topic of conversation at that age
The problem is that they brought it out and spoke it aloud instead of just keeping it to themselves
But it seems like they might use this opportunity to reform the military service exemptions
It's not like they even won an Olympic gold medal
