I went on a trip to Gongju over the weekend and it was shocking

I went on a trip to Gongju during the long weekend starting Friday.
They were holding something called the Baekje Cultural Festival,
and it was larger in scale than I expected.
However, there wasn't actually that much content.
Inside, it was mostly just food courts and markets selling local specialties.
I don't think it's the kind of festival worth traveling a long distance for.
Gongsanseong Fortress is pretty, but in my opinion, it feels like a minor version of Suwon Hwaseong Haenggung.
There was a famous rice cake shop in the market,
and the line was so shockingly long
that I couldn't even attempt to try it. It was even crazier than Sungsimdang..
Anyway, the weather was nice and it's close to home, so it's worth a day trip,
but I feel like it's not a city with a wealth of things to see.
