Regarding the saying that you need a spouse to prepare for when you get sick in the future

I don't understand why no one is considering the existence of AI and robots.
Most developed countries have an extreme shortage of medical personnel, and by the time people here become elderly and require caregiving, AI or robots will have replaced almost all emergency response and caregiving duties.
The important thing will be whether you have the money.
I'm sure some people will still argue that AI and robots can never be the same as humans, but by then, there is a 99.9% probability that the fundamental boundaries of consciousness, emotion, and humanity will have blurred. It won't be a technical issue, but rather a philosophical and ethical one; strictly from a technical standpoint, there is a high probability that robots will act more human-like and even provide better emotional care than people.
By the time the people here are 70 or 80, robots will exist that can understand, learn, empathize with, and comfort human suffering, provide practical help, perform first aid, respond to medical situations, work 24 hours without sleeping, and never get irritated (provided there isn't a major catastrophe for humanity before then).
For the record, I am married, but if you are looking for someone to marry specifically for that purpose because you are worried about such things, you'd be better off just saving more money.
In the age of AI, everything will change.
