Inspired by Lotte's 5-game winning streak, I made a baseball player career game
I live in Geoje.
During the recent heavy rain, the underground parking lot of the building where my shop is located
was completely flooded.
And it turns out the electrical facilities were also in the basement.
Yes.
They got submerged too. ㅠㅠ
Thanks to(?) that, the power went out and I had to take a forced break for a few days.
Since I'm on the 3rd floor, there wasn't much damage, but
without electricity or water, there wasn't much I could do..
My mind is heavy thinking about the building's situation, but
since there isn't much I can do immediately anyway,
I was just at home watching Lotte baseball.
Then, they suddenly went on a 5-game winning streak.
????
As a Lotte fan, I was happy.
Very happy.
But being a Lotte fan,
watching the games brings up all sorts of emotions besides just joy. lol
Lotte fans probably know what I mean without me having to explain.
So,
to forget about the rain,
forget about the flooding,
and forget all the various emotions caused by Lotte,
I sat down at my computer and started working on various things.
And before I knew it,
I ended up making a professional baseball player career game.
I don't even know how it ended up like this myself. haha
It starts from the rookie draft.
You might struggle in the minor leagues,
or you might make it to the first team and become a starter.
If you do well, you can land a massive FA deal,
or you might suddenly get traded.
You can make the national team,
and as you get older, your performance naturally declines.
Then, you eventually retire.
As your records accumulate every year, once you retire,
your player's entire baseball life is recorded,
from stats like batting average, home runs, RBIs, OPS, wRC+, and WAR
to award records and national team history.
The title is
"This Life is Baseball!!"
lol

This Life is Baseball | Baseball Player Career Game
slb-simul.pages.dev
This Life is Baseball! A free professional baseball career and KBO player simulator where you can enjoy everything from the draft to retirement, starting as a high school senior.
No registration required.
No installation required.
It's free.
Just go in and create a player.
I'm still tweaking various things,
so if you play it and find something that makes you think,
“Wait, does this even make sense?”
please let me know in the comments.
There are plenty of people on MLBPARK who look at baseball stats more than I do,
so feedback on balance is welcome. lol
And if you create a monster player, please brag about it.
On the flip side,
you might also get a life where you spend over 10 years in the pros
but never really do anything in the first team and just quietly fade away.
Watching those kinds of players is strangely interesting too. ㅠㅠ
Oh.
After you retire, there is a button below
that says ‘Buy the developer a cup of coffee.’
Yes, it's a donation button. lol
Let me say this upfront:
Whether you give or not is entirely up to you.
It doesn't matter at all if you don't.
You can just finish the game,
say “Good job,” and close the window. haha
If you do give?
I will gratefully accept it.
I'll enjoy the coffee.
That's all. lol
Since tomorrow is Monday and there's no baseball,
if you're bored,
why not try living a life as a baseball player for this one lifetime?
I ended up taking a forced break due to the heavy rain,
and before I knew it, a baseball game was born. haha
The results screen looks like this. ^^
