An AI electric toothbrush that scans, analyzes, and cleans between teeth using AI, wow

On the 1st (local time), Dyson unveiled the 'Dyson CamaraJet' in Paris, France, which combines an electric toothbrush and an oral irrigator. This is Dyson's first product released in the oral care market.
The core of the CamaraJet is the 'Gap Optical Targeting' camera system. It combines a machine learning algorithm trained on over 470,000 tooth images collected during the product development process with a 100,000-pixel macro lens camera.
The camera analyzes 28 images per second to predict the position and direction between teeth. Once it captures the interdental space, it sprays liquid in a conical shape to that specific point within 0.1 seconds. Dyson explained that they combined brushing and interdental cleaning into a single device by utilizing vision systems, machine learning, and fluid dynamics technology.
The camera and lighting flash at a frequency of 257Hz. It is designed to be slightly out of sync with the vibration cycle of the brush head, allowing the camera to capture images of the teeth at the exact moments when the bristles do not obstruct the view.
James Dyson, founder and chief engineer of Dyson, said, "Many people know the importance of using dental floss, but they do not practice it because interdental cleaning is bothersome and time-consuming."
He continued, "As a result of Dyson engineers researching various oral care habits and the process of bacteria buildup in people's mouths for over 10 years, we confirmed that many people are missing the interdental spaces where plaque forms. The Dyson CamaraJet offers a new alternative for maintaining oral health by combining cameras, machine learning, fluid dynamics, advanced brushing technology, and Wi-Fi to answer the questions: 'How can we see invisible interdental spaces?', 'How can we remove plaque?', and 'How can we increase cleaning power?'"
