Do people who go to church not drink alcohol?

From what I understand, in the early days of the Korean church,
when missionaries arrived,
they saw that Koreans
drank so much alcohol that they wouldn't work,
so they told them not to drink and to live constructively,
imposing a ban on alcohol... or something like that, at least that's what I heard.
Even if you look at Ecclesiastes 9:7 right now,
it says, "Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart, for God has already approved what you do."
It is written like this.
