People are making all sorts of noise about the reasons why Lee Jae-myung's approval ratings are dropping,
but the most fundamental and primal reason
is that at some point, Lee Jae-myung became someone who looks easy to handle.
Humans—no, all animals—are primally drawn to strength.
A leader must be democratic and benevolent,
but they must also occasionally show a very ruthless side;
however, that latter quality is not seen in Lee Jae-myung.
The people who provided the first clues to this were Rhyu Si-min and Team Teolbo.
Power that has been castrated of its charisma and its temperament as a cold-blooded competitor
is no longer an object of admiration; instead, it is seen as an easy target,
and there is no longer any reason to support an easy target.
If Lee Jae-myung wants to recover his approval ratings, though it may be late,
while real estate or economic policies are fine,
he must use every means necessary—whether it be becoming like Rhyu Si-min, like Teolbo, or someone else entirely—to strike a decisive blow to recover.
He must not forget that if he forgets he is a tiger and walks around the neighborhood like a cat,
all sorts of stray dogs will rush in and bark at him.
