Isn't this a great chance to travel to Japan?

As I live my life, I've reached a day where traveling to Japan has become a budget-friendly trip.
In 1996, I went on my very first overseas trip to Japan. It was before the IMF crisis hit, and the domestic economy was actually in a bit of a bubble back then lol. My father broke his savings account to pull off this grand trip.
I felt a serious "price gap with developed nations" and realized how much poorer our country was at the time.
A can from a vending machine was 100 won, and it was also 100 yen in Japan.
The size of the coins wasn't much different, but because the difference in currency value between the two countries was so large... in 1996, 100 yen must have been over 700 won.
It's amazing.
When did Korea grow this much?
To think that traveling to Japan would become so cheap.
