Review of the Daegu World Masters Athletics Championships

I am not an elite athlete, but since a competition that felt like a national team event was being held nearby for Masters, I participated out of curiosity.
When I registered, I was very worried because Daegu is so hot in the summer, but
the rain actually helped avoid the extreme heat.
It poured heavily from 6:00 to 6:30 AM before the race started, but
from 7:00 to 9:00 AM, I ran under cloudy skies without rain.
The humidity was high, but I was satisfied that it wasn't scorching hot.
(Wearing sandals with bare feet when heading to the venue was a stroke of genius;
since my shoes didn't get wet, my feet didn't feel heavy, which would have slowed my pace if they had been soaked.)
My previous PB was 1 hour 41 minutes 40 seconds from a rainy run in Uiryeong in May, so
this time I ran with the goal of breaking 1 hour 40 minutes.
I ran while calculating to maintain a 4:45 pace; I held it up to 10km, but I felt my strength fading after the turnaround point.
After 15km, I wanted to give up, but I lowered my pace with the mindset of finishing without walking!
(If it's not working, it's not working lol, I give up quickly too.)
Looking at the elevation profile later, the latter half was a slight uphill.
The elevation profile is actually the same as the route I usually run on.
I met the "Dosama Village" members, took photos, and finished off with some Gukbap (soup with rice).
Even though it was brief, running alongside foreigners made me feel like a national athlete.
Regardless of the record, I returned home with great memories.
I can't run at this pace alone in the summer!!
