Why T1 is highly anticipated for Worlds this year
These guys don't get nervous at Worlds.
After winning back-to-back in '23 and '24,
they don't feel any pressure and just play for fun.
That's part of why they are able to perform at 100% of their ability.
Having achieved a repeat championship,
it seems they have a mindset of "It'd be great if we win, but if we don't, it is what it is."
During last year's quarterfinals against AL, Oner picking Mundo—a champion he had never played before—seems to be in a similar vein.
T1's biggest crisis at Worlds is the Swiss Stage.
From the quarterfinals onward, they play with such a relaxed mindset that they'll likely pull off unexpected narrow victories.
On the other hand, in the League, the schedule is intense
and because they have a clear goal to win, they actually seem to feel the pressure.
Plus, facing the massive walls of Gen.G and Hanwha makes it difficult.
Conversely, Gen.G seems to have a mindset of "It's fine if we win the League or not,"
but they seem to struggle to perform their best at Worlds due to an obsession with having to win no matter what.
