Seeing people criticize Chinese cars reminds me of 1990s Japan

I heard that back then, when Samsung was rising, Japanese people also held a lot of resentment toward Korean companies.
Looking at how people criticize Chinese cars these days, it makes me think that South Korea is becoming very similar to Japan.
