No one brags about Nazi medals. On the other hand, what about Japan?

Whether it is claiming their ancestors received military medals during the Pacific War,
or boasting about Imperial decorations from the Manchurian Incident and the Second Sino-Japanese War,
even in 2026, they continue to show off their collection of medals.
Despite being fellow war criminal nations and having both become capitalist,
why is there such a difference?
Why do they feel no sense of apology or shame?
