I'm so behind the times, I'm only just now binge-watching [D.P.]

I don't know why I kept putting this off...
I started watching it bit by bit a few days ago, and I'm currently watching the final episode of Season 2.
Among works that deal with military life, I find this one to be the most entertaining.
While it blends dramatic elements and fiction, the subtle details are so well-captured that it brings back memories of my military service 30 years ago.
I've actually encountered officers (platoon leaders) who wielded authority without any actual competence,
and there were times during marches to and from training sites when I felt like I was going to fall asleep while walking.
The conflicts between combat squad members and administrative clerks also happened in my unit.
Besides that, there are so many scenes that resonate with my actual experiences.
