Life seems to be quite ironic

It seems like it's truly difficult to live a balanced life, because when things aren't working out, nothing works, but when they are, everything works out.
It would be fine if happiness and misfortune visited in turn, but they come in such overwhelming waves that I even feel fear when I am happy.
