I don't mind paying taxes.

‌I received a resident tax notice yesterday.
It's only 11,000 won, but for some reason, I don't feel bad about paying it.
I felt the same way about four years ago when I bought my apartment,
and two years ago when I paid off the remaining balance without any loans.
When I pay property tax or resident tax,
it feels like evidence of how hard I've lived, so I feel a sense of pride even while paying the money.
As time goes by, I might start feeling like these taxes I have to pay out of pocket several times a year are a waste,
but it's strange that right now, I don't feel like it's a waste at all.
