Who cares about the Asian Games enough to grant military exemptions?

The mandatory military service period has been shortened, and even BTS is serving in the military. What's so special about an obscure Asian Games gold medal that they get to skip service?
If you really want to grant exemptions, limit it to Olympic gold medals and don't allow professional athletes to benefit.
If they want to enhance national prestige, they can serve their duty while training at the Sangmu Sports Corps.
Both the ruling and opposition parties must work together to abolish this absolutely.
