(Geoje=Yonhap News) Reporter Park Young-min = Former Democratic Party of Korea representative Jung Cheong-rae visited Geoje, Gyeongsangnam-do, on the 24th to volunteer for flood recovery efforts following damage from heavy rainfall.
On this day, former representative Jung, along with approximately 40 others including officials from the Gyeongsangnam-do Association for the Movement for a Righteous Life, cleared away soil and debris accumulated at the damage sites in Geoje-myeon, Geoje-si.
During the recovery efforts, he inspected the damaged areas and encouraged the volunteers.
Geoje Mayor Byeon Kwang-yong also visited the site to express gratitude to the volunteers and lend his support to the recovery operations.
