Is it possible to play golf with a left arm disability?

Someone I know was exempted from military service due to a left arm disability caused by an unfortunate accident in their childhood. They can't even tie a necktie with their left hand, but
they still manage to surf, play golf, and go climbing—and honestly, they seem to be better at those things than I am. Does that have nothing to do with the left arm disability??
I don't think there are many people like this, so I'm asking because I'm curious if anyone around you might be in a similar situation!
