Lee Jae-myung faces an even greater crisis starting in December
People currently stuck in the stock market with companies like Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix have been holding on with the expectation that prices would rise by the fourth quarter, but
they are currently crashing hard.
The problem is that the moving season starts in December and lasts until February next year; around that time, people may need large sums of cash and might be forced to sell everything because they can no longer hold on.
In other words, between December 2026 and February 2027, massive losses will be realized. At that point, people who entered the market hoping for things like "sell your house and invest in stocks," "live off stock dividends," or "the Korean stock market is changing, so 60-70 million is the baseline and it's going to 100 million" will not just simply dislike the current government or the Democratic Party due to their realized heavy losses—
they will begin to feel hatred and resentment. If people start saying, "No one pushed you into this, it's your own fault for investing," it could even lead to riots.
That is when the true lame-duck period will begin.
