Comparing Samsung and Apple mobile phones, which one is better?

I have only used Samsung Galaxy until now, but I am starting to take an interest in the Apple iPhone. What makes people choose Samsung versus Apple?
If we compare only these specific models, the Ultra 26 and Pro 17?
