Wasn't it thanks to Kimbap Cheonguk that kimbap prices went down?

I remember back in the 90s in Sinchon, they charged 6,000 won for California rolls, calling them "French Kimbap," and in the early 2000s, Kimbap Gane's kimbap was 2,500 won.
Thinking about it now, 2,500 won might seem like nothing, but that was back when a pack of Shin Ramyun cost 480 won. Since the minimum wage at the time was around 2,000 won, kimbap wasn't always the affordable street food we enjoy today. It was only after Kimbap Cheonguk spread nationwide that it became a casual snack for the masses; before that, kimbap was closer to a special treat eaten in lunchboxes during school picnics.
