I think the police might feel it's unfair
It's different from when the investigative powers were adjusted during the Moon Jae-in administration.
Right now,
the cops
never asked for supplementary investigation rights,
nor did they ever say that the prosecution's supplementary investigation rights should be stripped away.
It was simply the Democratic Communist Party and "Jjij" (Lee Jae-myung)
who eliminated the prosecution's supplementary investigation rights.
In the midst of that,
the Jang Yoon-gi case and the Jeju missing person case broke out.
To be objective, those cases
seem to be systemic issues rather than being related to supplementary investigation rights,
but it seems like the easily manipulated public
is bashing the "cop-police" even more because of the supplementary investigation issue.
To be blunt,
didn't everyone already know the cops were always like that?
In the current situation,
instead of bashing the cops,
they should be bashing "Jjij" and the Democratic Communist Party
twice as hard,
but strangely, they are only bashing the cops..
The ones who deserve the criticism
are "Jjij" and the Democratic Communist Party.
The cops were always an organization of that caliber.
