Hemorrhoids are driving me crazy

When I wasn't eating enough fiber and was exercising a lot during the summer,
I had a hard bowel movement, and there was quite a bit of bleeding at that time.
It's been about 7 days and it hasn't healed, so I went to the hospital, got prescribed medication and granules, and made sure to eat fiber-rich foods for a few days. However, it still hasn't improved despite applying ointment and doing regular sitz baths. I haven't been able to do the sports I love for nearly 3 weeks because of this, but I got so frustrated that I went ahead and exercised anyway.
Now, it feels like my stools, which had been somewhat soft lately, have become hard again, and I think there's even more bleeding. I'm planning to go back to the hospital tomorrow, but I'm incredibly stressed because I don't feel like taking more medicine will solve it.
I think I might need surgery to get better, but I sincerely hope none of you ever have to deal with this crappy disease.
