Judge: "Murder was intentional, but arrest warrant denied."

‌An arrest warrant for a man in his 80s who murdered his wife, whom he had been caring for for a long time, has been rejected.
According to the Namyangju Nambu Police Station in Gyeonggi Province on the 31st, the Namyangju Branch of the Uijeongbu District Court held a pre-arrest interrogation (warrant substantive examination) for Mr. A, who was charged with murder, and rejected the arrest warrant, stating, “There is no risk of flight or destruction of evidence.”
Previously, the police had applied for an arrest warrant on the 30th, considering the gravity of the case.
Mr. A is accused of murdering his wife, Ms. B, in her 70s, at a villa in Hwado-eup, Namyangju-si, around 12:15 PM on the 29th.
Responding to a family member's report that Ms. B had passed away, the police identified circumstances suggesting that Mr. A had committed the murder and made an emergency arrest.
Investigations revealed that Mr. A had been caring for Ms. B, who had difficulty communicating and moving due to a chronic illness, for several decades.
It is reported that he admitted to all charges during the police investigation, stating, “I grew exhausted from caring for her for such a long time.”
He also reportedly testified that he intended to take his own life after the crime.
The police are investigating the detailed circumstances of the case regarding Mr. A.
