Demanding compensation after bumping into someone and breaking their phone!! (Chuncheon, Hongcheon)

I heard that people are going to college areas or bus terminals with broken phones,
bumping into students or soldiers,
and demanding compensation claiming their phones were damaged.
They say things like, "I won't report you to the police, so just pay for the repairs,"
"Don't make a big deal out of this,"
"If I tell your parents, you're dead," etc.
(Such baseless intimidation)
They extorted a total of 41 million KRW over 35 instances. Unbelievable.
Apparently, they did this even after already breaking a 3 million KRW phone.
We really need to be careful when walking around.
