and even now, they remain a potential security threat,
but there have also been many instances where they provided immense help that changed our national destiny.
Key examples include sending troops during the Imjin War,
leaping to an advanced income level thanks to the massive trade surpluses we gained from China in the 2000s,
and in 2008, when they strongly advised against acquiring Lehman Brothers' assets, helping us avoid national bankruptcy.
I truly feel that for Korea,
China is a country with an incredibly large and double-edged influence.
