My high school had an elite judo program, but many students ended up joining gangs.

We did have an elite judo team,
but it wasn't exactly a prestigious powerhouse,
so getting into top schools like Yongin University or Korea National Sport University wasn't easy.
Since they didn't focus on academics either,
they were in a bit of a limbo.
In the end, a significant number of them received scouting offers from the underworld upon graduation
and went into the gangster life.
Gangsters love student-athletes.
They are diligent, strictly follow the hierarchy, and have guts, so they are top-tier recruits.
