There is an a cappella group called Maytree with 6 million YouTube subscribers (their main fanbase is overseas), but they disbanded from the four members due to contract issues.
In the end, all members of Maytree except for the leader were replaced with younger members.
It turns out that two of the former Maytree members (+ one very old member, making it three in total) have formed a new a cappella team called 'Lapelca.'
Maytree was a group that had more recognition and a larger fanbase overseas than in Korea, so it is a bit disappointing, but
as an a cappella fan, I am rooting for this new team as well.
